EI Consultation - The Issues:

1)
Have you ever experienced an individual who has exceptional intellect and "IQ" who seems unable to engage and work with others effectively? At the same time, there are those who may have "average" intellect who are able to create motivation and success through their presence and engagement. Emotional Intelligence was developed to better understand this critical aspect of human endeavor and success.

2) The "rules" are changing...We are all being judged and evaluated by a "new yardstick"...not just how smart we are and what technical skill we have, but increasingly by how well we handle and lead ourselves and one another.

3) Emotional intelligence (EI) is a concept that clearly identifies that what we typically call an individual's intelligence quotient or IQ is not enough to be successful or effective.

4) Emotional Intelligence addresses how to understand the part that emotions and feelings can play in our decisions and interactions with others.
